Hi, I’m Hannah, baker, maker and creator of Hannah Matilda. I have always had a passion for creating food and cakes that are both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. I am constantly inspired for new flavours and designs by what I see around me in nature and the changing seasons.

I started my career in the food and catering industry as a pastry chef in London where I developed my skill and love for cakes and patisserie. After reaching the finals of the Cordon Bleu Patisserie Scholarship Award in London I pursued my ambition of starting my own company and have a wide range of experience from working as a chef in private households to busy London restaurants and organic artisanal bakeries.

I moved to Manchester in 2018 where I now run Hannah Matilda, providing outstanding cakes to my wonderful clients as well as bespoke catering for private events, celebrations, press launches and more in and around Manchester and Cheshire.

Hannah Matilda is a registered business inspected by Trafford Council. I have been awarded the highest level, 5 out of 5, for food safety and hygiene.

I am passionate about the environment, sustainable living and low waste food. All of the packaging used for our catering is supplied by vegware, an eco-friendly plant based packaging manufacturer. Where possible I buy seasonal locally sourced ingredients and minimise waste. If you have ordered a cake or received catering from us, try to reuse your boxes or cake boards!
